Sicilian Tenors and Celtic Sopranos
On Sunday afternoon, March 30th Our Lady of Angels auditorium was transformed into Carnegie Hall as the Sicilian Tenors and Celtic Sopranos performed to celebrate the parish’s annual St. Patrick and St. Joseph’s Day Celebration. An audience of over 300 enjoyed both Irish and Italian favorites, including O Sole Mio and Danny Boy. It turned into a sing-a-long as everyone joined in for “That’s Amore” and “God Bless America”. The show brought standing ovations from the crowd. A dinner followed which included traditional Italian and Irish favorites including sausage and peppers and corned beef and cabbage. Msgr. Kevin B. Noone, Pastor honored The Pastoral Ministers to the Homebound at this celebration. These 23 men and women administer the Eucharist and visit parishioners that are unable to leave their homes. The lucky winner of the 50/50 raffle went home with $6500.00.
